Like most great tools, we started Parakeeto to scratch our own itch.
It all started when co-founder Jarod got tired of building endless spreadsheets to answer basic questions in his agency, and couldn’t find any tools to automate that process.
It set us down a path to figure out how to make it easier for small agencies to see the numbers they need to stay profitable.
That led us to starting a consulting and training company, and a podcast dedicated to helping agencies improve profitability and building tools to help our clients improve their process.
Through helping hundreds of agencies improve their profitability, we really narrowed in on what drives results.
What we discovered is that it all starts with one critical, often overlooked process: Estimation.
Accurate estimation is the foundation of an agency’s profitability. Without the ability to accurately assess how much effort it’s going to take to get an outcome to a client, it’s extremely difficult to maintain healthy margins and avoid late nights and weekend work.
Client after client, we found ourselves spending more and more time focussed on streamlining this critical process and helping agencies connect their data from past projects to their estimation process so they could actually save time and get more accurate over time.
It’s this feedback loop that has been at the heart of the process we’ve used to help every one of our clients increase their profitability and get their team home in time for dinner more consistently.
Now we’re finally sharing the tools we’ve been building to help our clients with the world.
Our mission is to prove that running or working at an agency doesn’t have to mean working overtime to hit deadlines and struggling to make a profit on projects. Boutique agencies deserve the same level of insight as the big guys, and it’s our goal to give them that insight.
